One moment, Jack the terrier was following a particularly intriguing pattern of smells out of Emma's room, down the hall, and almost into the common room.
The next, Jack the human was trying to make it out of the common room and back to his own room without being seen, cursing like mad and hoping Andy hadn't done anything as foolish as locking the door.
It was good to be human again.
