33 Apocalypse, Saturday Afternoon

Jack had actually been 21 for a day -- or 110 years plus a day, depending on how you looked at it -- but he'd planned the party for the Saturday anyhow on the theory it'd be easier. Now, as he straightened napkins and fussed over bowls of chips, he'd been glad he had. Between his fight with Derek, Emma in town, and everything in Beacon Hills, the last few days had brought enough to deal with without adding a party into it.

None of that was clear on his face, of course. He was only going to turn 21 once, and he fully intended to enjoy it. (If in a way that wouldn't make Kaidan refuse to ever let him host a party again.)

April wasn't really a mingly person, but hey, she'd been invited, and she liked Jack and booze and all that. She'd finally managed to ditch her tinsel boa, which was excellent because that did not suit her image, so, here she was. Wallflowering Mingling.

Stiles was looking pretty rough, but at least he had a blue tinsel boa to offset his bruised face. So thanks for that, Fandom. Ms. Morrell had a point, he had been making a lot of adult friends in town, so he didn't really feel that out of place being here.

He was, however, careful to drink soda because he was in the house where one of his former teachers lived.

Yes, Stiles, pretty girl strangers in panda dresses occasionally talked to you at parties, do contain your shock.

Allie had given up on trying to get rid of her tinsel boa. It was just leading to frustration.

So she was in the corner observing the goings on while rocking the silver, red and green tinsel look.

Kaidan didn't have to arrive, per se, since this was his house and he hadn't actually gone anywhere all day.

But he did make it downstairs, looking... not awkward, but also definitely not like a party animal. He grabbed a drink and sat down somewhere and observed.

Emma didn't so much arrive since she was already at the house, but she was mingling with a glass of spiced cider in her hand.

And yes, she was keeping a telepathic ear on the guests, to make sure no one was going to do something utterly stupid.

Snacks, plus a full bar -- Jack made a special trip into the mainland just to be able to legally buy everything here. He's very impressed with himself, yes.

Mike couldn't resist a party, even one for someone his housemate was currently on poor terms with. Wasn't like he and Jack had any animosity going on.

He was getting some chips and enjoying himself.

She'd actually gotten him a very nicely cut gray linen suit, but she wasn't going to have him strip here to try it on.
