Phone Hijinks!
Date: 2013-05-18 02:07 am (UTC)By this point, Éponine was beyond done with the confusing, irritating mess that was the phone system, so when that last message came in, it . . . hit a sore spot that was a bit worse than usual.
Which was why the poor recipient of her reply would only get a good twenty seconds or so of harsh, raucous laughter. More than slightly bitter and almost but not quite unhinged, granted, but honestly, what else could she do?
