And she's in two more books and never does much of anything that helps! Seriously, there is nothing about her that ever makes her significantly more compelling than she is in the first story on the zeppelin -- and in that one I never gave her a second thought because she so clearly seems to be there entirely so Sebastien would have somebody to exposition at.

Her exit was therapeutic for me to write, yes :-). I tried to stay clear of bashing her, but there was no reason I could see for her to stick around.

I can take or leave Abby Irene. She isn't my cup of tea as a character in general, but I can see where she'd appeal to other people (and to Sebastien). But I have to admit, when I reread the books I focus on the Jack and Sebastien bits and skim or skip the rest. And I'm generally incredibly biased toward female characters, just not these two.
